What is av port?

AV, or Audio/Video port, is a type of connector found on many electronic devices that allows for the transmission of both video and audio signals simultaneously. This port can typically be found on older devices such as VCRs, DVD players, and older gaming consoles. The AV port consists of three individual cables, typically color-coded red, white, and yellow, with each carrying the audio and video signals. The yellow cable carries the video signal while the red and white cables carry the left and right audio channels respectively. As newer devices are being developed, the use of AV ports is becoming less common, with HDMI connectors serving as the new standard for digital audio and video transmission.
